St. Paul's Cathedral - What would Jesus do?

An article from Melanie Phillips reads:

The Guardian reports today:   Desecration, defecation and substance abuse are among the issues St Paul's Cathedral has had to cope with because of the protest camp in its churchyard, according to legal documents filed by the City of London Corporation ahead of its attempt to evict activists from the area.

In a letter to the Corporation a cathedral official, Nicholas Cottam, has reported:   '"Desecration: graffiti have been scratched and painted on to the great west doors of the cathedral, the chapter house door and most notably a sacrilegious message painted on to the restored pillars of the west portico.

"Human defecation has occurred in the west portico entrance and inside the cathedral on several occasions. Noisy interruption has occurred to spoken and sung Christian services, after repeated requests for quiet. Foul language has frequently been directed at cathedral staff. Noise has frequently carried into the cathedral to the extent that services have been difficult to sustain in any meaningful way."   'Cottam added that alcohol "and other stimulants" appeared to "fuel the noise levels day and night".

Now what has amused me greatly regarding this article is the fact that the St. Paul's Cathedral authorities are complaining of such anti-social behaviour and yet they were the same authorities who have refused to take action against the occupiers of the square. Frankly I cannot even begin to comprehend such reluctance to take action and yet they bitch about it in private.
Ms. Philips also points this out.

I wouldn't even use words such as hypocrisy for I rather expose these ecclesiastics for the cowards that they are.  If they had been so concerned, then why dump the issue in the City of London corporation? Ah perhaps they want to show how much they "care" for the "poor". Only these people are not poor, they are middle class daddy's children who while camping in their smart tents and screaming their lungs out against Capitalism, think nothing of having a coffee in Starbucks, use their mobile phones  and their laptops (complete with Israeli technology intel inside).

It is obvious the Church is not only incapable of defending itself against sacrilege, but will try their best to pass the hot potato to others in order to keep appearances.

This reminds me of one of the placards one protester was holding : "What would Jesus do?"

Ah now we are talking!  Get my whip please!
